Lazarus goes to London

Lazarus attended Discover Dogs in October for the last time with the current Crufts display team for the Kennel Club Gold Good Citizen Award Displays.

Two days of displays took place on the Saturday and Sunday with both days full to the brim of people watching dogs dashing around and having fun, showing what a pleasure a well trained pet dog is to have around.

The last two years with team have been amazing, especially as it took Lazarus (more commonly known at home as smush) to gain enough confidence to be around that many people in the team, let alone the thousands that have watched him and his team mates at Crufts, Royal Three Counties show and Discover Dogs 2017/2018.

The last display at Discover Dogs in October was rather emotional for all involved, as we have all become such good friends, humans and dogs alike, what an experience!

Lazarus has gone from a nervous boy just three years ago to a dog that is happy to perform in large displays, meet his fans and of course work hard at looking after his mom.

Of course Lazarus will be strutting his stuff (and his half tail which he is a bit sensitive about, as he lost half when he was born, as he got stuck because he was a fattie) at try outs for next years displays very soon and fingers crossed he gets to join a new team for Crufts 2019! But of course if he doesn’t go through (after all it’s only fair others get to go and enjoy the amazing atmosphere that is Crufts) he will be very much loved and continuing to work on helping his mom to lead a normal life.

He has had to take a break recently from his assistance dog in training duties as he hasn’t been well with a poorly ear but that is now getting better hurrah!

In the mean time Lazarus has been working extremely hard……at settee time (it’s exhausting all this meeting and greeting your fans! He has also made sure that a poorly earhole has secured him extra special settee time with his mom).

Whats even better is he has been on holiday with his brother and two sisters for two whole weeks at The old Coach House near Stroud where he had the best time running around and being silly and generally getting into anything and everything he could find!

One very happy Lazarus supporting #thankyou100
